Bats may enter an attic area through an open louvre or fan vent.  Most bats will migrate away in the winter, but is common for some bats to "winter over" in your attic or between the walls.  Since bats are social animals, they live in colonies which continue to grow each year.  The colonies will return to the same home each spring to have their babies.

Bats have no desire to get into your home.  If they do end up in the interior, they get there by accident.  Bats may "winter over" in your attic or walls can wake up if they get near a heat source.  They may then crawl towards light and may end up in your living space.

Bats guano can be a huge health concern if not removed.  The guano can even eventually seep through the dry wall.  Removal of soiled insulation is a must for the health of your family and the integrity of your home.

When the bats are excluded from the home, many of the bugs that feed off of them are left behind in your attic or interior walls.  These bugs must have a blood source to live.  That food source could be you if the bats are just excluded and clean-up is not done.

Bats can gain entry into your home through the soffit and/or fascia.  This entry point gives bats access to the attic and interior walls.  Once we exclude the bats from these areas, we can repair the soffit so the bats and their family members can't return.
